In our last two residences, closet space has been less than ideal. We shared a "walk-in" closet in NoDa that was about as narrow as a medium size t-shirt. In Wilmore, husband wasn't allowed to keep anything in our bedroom closet (which really isn't a big deal because everyone knows husband is a minimalist who has 7 shirts and 3 pairs of pants). When we first walked into the closet at our new house, my first reaction was, "Really? Is this necessary?" Because this closet is ridiculous.
Before:

The husband noticed the floor was squishy in one spot, so he decided to remove the carpet only to find this wonderful surprise:

We realized we could either 1) pay someone a lot of money to weave in new floor slats or 2) have husband fix the floor then go back in with new carpet.
New carpet won out!

This is in no way a true "after" photo! We still have a lot to do in here!
